Clinical Care Coord Med Surg FT

The MedSurg Clinical Coordinator is responsible for overseeing patient care delivery within the Medical-Surgical Unit, ensuring high standards of clinical practice and patient outcomes. This role involves consulting with nursing staff, physicians, and the Unit Director to address clinical concerns and interpret hospital policies to meet patient needs effectively. The Clinical Coordinator plays a key role in performance improvement initiatives within the department and has the authority to assign nursing staff to patients based on the Charge Nurse’s assessment of patient acuity and staff competencies.

Additional responsibilities include contributing to budget development and providing care across a broad age spectrum, from neonates to adults. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
