Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Clinical Dietician with our Food Service Department. Under the direction of the Clinical Nutrition Supervisor of Food Service, this position is responsible for providing Medical Nutrition Therapy for the patients in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Duties include completing the nutrition assessment with nutrition focused physical exam, documenting malnutrition diagnosis, placing nasoduodenal tubes when consulted, communicating with other members of the interdisciplinary team, monitoring tolerance to nutrition therapy, and providing education to patients and caregivers when appropriate.
The Clinical Dietitian will maintain nutrition documentation in the patient’s medical record. In addition, this position will participate in regular rounding on assigned units, serve on quality improvement committees as needed, and mentor clinical interns. This position requires a weekend rotation based on staffing levels.
