Certifications
✓Obtained and maintain state certification (up to 6-months post hire allowed to receive certification).
✓American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification is required within thirty (30) days of date of hire.
✓Annual re-certification is required.

Education
✓Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Dietetics.
✓Completed an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited supervised practice program (Dietetic internship).
Qualifications
✓Successfully passed Registration Examination for Dietitians. If not yet licensed, must present a copy of submitted application and is expected to pass registration exam within six month of hire date.
✓Maintain registration through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
✓Aware of and understand Joint Commission and other regulatory agency compliance regulations.
✓Formal training in crisis prevention and intervention is required within sixty (60) days of date of hire. Annual recertification is required.
✓Dietitians working in a Community based Residential Facility (CBRF), Residential Care Center (RCC) program, or pool staff are required to complete CBRF first aid, fire safety, and standard precautions within ninety (90) days of hire.
One (1) year experience in a clinical setting preferred.

About the role

The Registered Dietitian provides individual and group nutrition interventions based on evaluation of the patient, family, and significant others, while considering the individual’s cultural, ethnic, and personal needs and preferences. The nutrition care plan is monitored and revised as necessary through an interdisciplinary process.
