As a Nursery Mother/Baby Clinical Director, a typical day may include: Ensures that quality, age-appropriate care is delivered to all patients in their designated clinical units in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures and program plans of the organization Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation, and continuing education Evaluates staff performance in accordance with organizational policies Participates in staff quality assurance Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care Participates in the designated department's strategic planning process Analyzes systems and operations to facilitate recommendations for change and improvement Facilitate operational excellence in patient services and across the designated departments Maintains a level of knowledge of current healthcare trends through continuous education and participation at meetings both internally and externally Ensure that [unit/department/division] is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations This role might be for you if: You have a minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in an acute care or post-acute setting You have a minimum of two (2) years of nursing leadership experience You lead with collaboration and teamwork with clear and compassionate communication You thrive in a high reliable organization, where you encourage your team to proactively raise concerns and offer solutions Strong clinical judgment guides your decisions, even as priorities shift Thriving in a fast-paced environment energizes you, especially where teamwork drives outcomes A commitment to evidence-based practice shapes your daily work Empathy and professionalism are central to your approach Continuous learning and professional growth matter to you Collaborative team culture is something you actively help strengthen Experience in an academic, multi-specialty institution is preferred Experience managing staff at the manager or above level is preferred To be considered for this Clinical Director opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing, and a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
A bachelor’s or masters degree in nursing is strongly preferred, as is comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position is full-time on the day shift at 37.5 hours weekly, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
