and Responsibilities As our Manager, Clinical Engineering (CE), you will manage the operations of the Clinical Engineering Department, developing and directing a comprehensive strategic life cycle asset management program to deliver a compliant, cost-effective service that exceeds quality and financial expectations across multiple facilities. Every day you will ensure our program aligns with established Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
This includes actively working to lower annual maintenance costs, increase equipment life cycles, and provide exceptional customer service. You will also ensure the program is recognized as the trusted subject matter expert for pre-purchase evaluations and total life cycle cost analysis. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional leadership in engineering management, a profound understanding of regulatory compliance and asset lifecycle management, and a proven ability to drive cost savings and enhance equipment longevity.
Directs the overall operations of one or more CE Departments by: Meeting/exceeding all SLA deliverables and conducting Monthly Operational Report (MOR) meetings to review CE’s KPI results with each hospital leadership team. Developing synergies with key stakeholders, i.e. System Medical Device Security Operations, System IT, Clinical Department leadership and Original Equipment Manufacturers to implement a medical device security program for networked medical equipment across all sites.
Develops and ensures the implementation of policy and procedures that result in a fully compliant CE program for each site under their scope. Directs supervisors and/or CE team members in best practices to ensure the financial performance of the department meets or exceeds budget and supports CommonSpirit Health’s financial health. This is accomplished by: Developing and directing an advanced CE program that includes multi-site service strategies to support all medical equipment under their scope.
Job Requirements Required Associates Other related field and Minimum of three years as a supervisor/lead technician in the Clinical Engineering industry, upon hire and Advanced roles require 5 years leading technical teams including direct responsibility for all aspects of staff managemen.
