Licensure
✓Active licensure in discipline (RN, RT, ETC) by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state required.
Certifications
✓Epic Certification is required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
✓Industry accepted informatics/information technology certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Education
✓Bachelor’s or Master's degree from an accredited college/university in a professional health care discipline (Registered Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Medical Technology, Respiratory or Occupational or Physical Therapy, or Pharmacy) required for hires on or after March 1, 2014
Master's degree preferred.
Qualifications
✓Three (3) years of clinical experience and two (2) years of clinical informatics experience (i.e., developing, implementing and/or supporting clinical information systems) required.
✓Demonstrated project management experiences
✓Lift/carry 50 lbs. unassisted: Infrequent
✓Lift/lower 50 lbs. from floor to 36”: Infrequent
✓Lift up to 25 lbs. overhead: Infrequent
✓Exert up to 50 lbs. of force: Frequent
preferably in IT and healthcare. preferred
PMP preferred.
Minimum of six sigma green belt preferred.

About the role

The Clinical Informatics Analyst II reports to the Manager of Clinical Informatics. Under limited supervision, the Clinical Informatics Analyst II works collaboratively with end users and Information Solutions -IS) to design and deploy clinical information technologies that support the delivery of safe, and efficient patient care for large strategic initiative.
