Support and coordinate all activities related to the implementation, optimization, and ongoing use of clinical information systems across the health system. Vital liaison between clinical end-users and Information Services & Technology, ensuring clinical systems are effectively used to enhance patient care, clinical workflows, and quality outcomes. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:Develop and maintain a deep understanding of clinical applications and how they support patient careCollaborate with clinical leaders to analyze workflowsDocument clinical workflows, business requirements, analyze baseline data and derive actionable insights to help inform workflow build, and measure baseline dataRecommend and participate in the evaluation of new technology, techniques, and workflow processes to support clinical usersLead meetings and serve on workgroups or committees to design workflows, identify optimizations and help develop clinical decision support tools in alignment with evidence-based practice, patient safety, and optimal user experienceServe as a liaison between clinical staff, IT, and vendors to translate clinical needs into system design and functionalityAssist in the development of training materials, including user guides, tip sheets, and workflow scenarios, in collaboration with application and training teams and subject matter expertsCoach and support clinical users during go-lives, system changes, or when additional support is neededDeliver training for clinical system users across all phases of the application lifecycle, including onboarding, system upgrades, and optimization initiativesIdentify and escalate system issues and collaborate on resolution with application teams and operational stakeholdersMonitor the effectiveness of clinical systems and recommend continuous improvement strategiesOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsThe following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:Education and Formal Training: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Allied Health or related clinical field requiredCurrent Registered Nurse licensure in North Carolina required, if applicableEpic Clinical Informatics certification required or must obtain within 6 months of hireWork
