in this role: You will assist and coordinate intake and pre-admission screening processes. You will document evidence of rehab admission criteria within established timeframe. You will perform on-site and off-site clinical evaluations to assist Rehab Medical Director in establishing patient eligibility for admission.
You will provide information to patient/family/caregiver related to inpatient rehab and program features. You will communicate expectations and requirements for participation in the rehab program and conduct or coordinate tours of the rehab unit. You will obtain information relating to patient resources and healthcare insurance benefits.
You will demonstrate clinical knowledge of rehab admission criteria to appropriately identify and qualify rehab patients. What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Physical Therapy School Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions) or Physical Therapist License Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Speech Therapist, or Occupational Therapy (OT), or Registered Nurse, or Licensed Physical Therapist Masters Degree, or Associate Degree 5 years of experience preferred HCA Florida JFK Hospital was named in honor of our 35 th president.
