✓Current RN License in the State of Illinois required
Certifications
✓Crisis Intervention training required within 90 Days of Hire -BLS Certified
Qualifications
✓Minimum of one year of clinical experience working on an inpatient behavioral health unit and/or related service line
✓Knowledge of major mental disorders across the age continuum and levels of care.
✓Understanding of developmental norms across the age continuum and ability to apply age-appropriate expectations when engaging patients/families to obtain relevant history and current level of functioning.
✓Knowledge of substance abuse and dependency disorders across the age continuum and levels of care.
✓Functional status screening skills to select the appropriate intensity of care or level of intervention required.
✓Competence in the use of the electronic medical record to document and retrieve pertinent patient information and generate required reports.
✓Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to engage patients and families in the screening process and to develop collegial relationships with professionals within and outside of the organization.
✓Communication skills to clearly and concisely transmit the essential referral information to clinicians regarding intake requests.
✓Ability to prioritize work assignments, organize and track intake flow, meet turnaround time for call return and submit required reports.
Two years of behavioral health experience preferred.
