Clinical Nurse Specialist for: C1 Medical Oncology & McGlinn Cancer Institute The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a registered nurse prepared as a CNS at the masters or doctoral level with clinical expertise in evidence-based nursing practice within a specialty area. The CNS treats and manages the health concerns of patients and populations and integrates knowledge of disease and medical treatments into assessment, diagnosis and treatment of illness.

The CNS provides leadership for the advancement of the practice of nursing and collaborative practice with the inter-professional care team to achieve quality and cost-effective patient outcomes.
