✓Demonstrates ability to be self-directed
✓Demonstrates clinical competence, effective leadership, and excellent teaching/coaching skills
✓Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective communication with personnel across disciplines

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a Master's or Doctorate prepared Advanced Practice Nurse, with specialty certification and APRN licensure. In collaboration with the medical staff and nursing staff across UChicago’s oncology service line, the Clinical Nurse Specialist provides clinical leadership and support to develop and improve patient care and outcomes.
