The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is an advanced practice nurse (APN), who demonstrates advanced cognitive and psychomotor capabilities in the assessment, treatment and evaluation of human responses to actual and potential health problems. The CNS functions autonomously and in collaboration with other health care providers as a practitioner, educator, consultant, clinical leader and researcher.
Master’s Degree 2 years of Experience Current California RN License BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by American Heart Association NICU only - national certification in specialty required Clinical Nurse Specialist Cert issued by CA BRN
Doctorate Degree (non MD) 5 years of experience PALS Certification-American Heart Association (for Pediatrics) NRP Certification-AAP (for NICU) The current salary range for this position is $64.37 to $88.51 Rady Children’s Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
