Licensure
✓Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Michigan.
✓Should be Board Certified in the area of specialty practice.
Education
✓Must have obtained an advanced degree (Pharm.D. or equivalent), completed a residency program approved by the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists, a fellowship in pharmacy, or have demonstrated a similar level of achievement in the practice of pharmacy.
Qualifications
✓Must demonstrate leadership ability in working with and coordinating activities of others in developing improved pharmacy services.
✓Must demonstrate verbal and written communication skills which enable manager to contribute effectively in the dissemination of information to all levels of health care personnel in the institution.
✓The manager should likewise demonstrate a desire to contribute to the pharmaceutical literature.
✓Must demonstrate knowledge of progressive pharmacy practice.
✓Must have a previous work history of reliability, dependability, and a willingness to assume additional responsibility.
✓Must be able to work with pharmacy students at all levels.
✓Should have completed research which demonstrates originality and investigative ability in an area of administrative and/or clinical pharmacy practice.
✓The work should be suitable for publication in the pharmaceutical or medical literature.
