Licensure
✓Board Certification by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in primary area of practice (e.g., Pharmacotherapy (BCPS), Emergency Medicine (BCEMP), Infectious Diseases (BCIDP), Pediatric Pharmacy (BCPPS)) upon hire or within 12 months of hire (required)
✓New York State Pharmacist Licensure and Registration (required)
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification upon hire or within 3 months of hire (required)
✓Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if applicable
Education
✓Graduation from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
Qualifications
✓Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency (required)
✓Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY-2 Residency in specialty area (preferred); clinical pharmacy experience (at least 2-4 years) in a hospital setting and in relevant area of practice (required if no PGY-2 residency)
✓Meet ASHP residency preceptor requirements (required)
✓Strong computer proficiency (MS Office, PowerPoint presentations)
✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✓Leadership and interpersonal skills, including high emotional intelligence
Excellent English verbal/written communication skills; bilingual second language preferred.
