Clinical Pharmacist - Oncology

✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Current Illinois State Pharmacy License required.
Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) or Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) preferred.
Education
✓Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
Qualifications
✓3-5 years as a pharmacist with Oncology experience
✓Must possess ability to interpret and evaluate chemotherapy treatment protocols and non chemotherapy regimens
✓Knowledge of and competency in hazardous medication management.
✓Must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements and provide pharmaceutical care based on those needs.
✓Adheres to local, state, and federal laws regarding the profession of pharmacy practice.
✓Customer service and teamwork orientation required. Mathematical skills required. Good interpersonal skills, initiative, judgment and problem solving skills.
✓Ability to organize, set priorities and plan time to accomplish workload. Ability to coordinate work between multiple sites.
✓Computer skills in pharmacy systems and word processing applications are beneficial. Demonstrates accountability and professionalism.
✓Inventory control procedures and practices
✓State laws and regulations regarding practice of pharmacy
✓Knowledge of third-party reimbursement programs and requirements
✓Knowledge of regulatory requirement related to dispensary and infusion area
✓Knowledge of USP 797 and 800 clean room standards
✓Thorough knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA and other regulatory policies and requirements
Hospital Pharmacy/Oncology Infusion Center experience preferred
Epic knowledge and experience preferred
