and Responsibilities As our Pharmacy Clinical Specialist in Solid Organ Transplant with Abdominal Organ focus , you will help patients deliver and document pharmaceutical care so they can safely and effectively complete the medication use process (selecting, prescribing, dispensing, administration and monitoring of medications) . Every day you will provide clinical direction for the pharmacy and act as a pharmacy liaison .
You will be expected to actively participate in inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic services, drug therapy management, research/quality improvement activities, and perform order verification and kinetics consults, focusing on the kidney/liver service . To be successful in this role, you must provide direct patient care and transplant education, act as a pharmaceutical consultant to provide drug information to physicians and nurses, and actively participate on patient care rounds with providers in a collaborative practice model .
