As Needed | Work Hours: 8-430 | Status: Part Time - 0.5 FTE (40 hours per pay period) | Entity: Owensboro Health Regional Hospital | Department: AccreditationJob
Provides oversight, consultation, research, management, and education in a specific clinical area.
Serves as an expert consultant for team members in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional growth. Develops, plans, implements, and evaluates educational programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals. Manages clinical research projects in support of evidence-based practice and disseminates findings while ensuring follow-up is completed.
Maintains awareness of current trends, practice changes, and research findings related to program. Coordinates activities and projects to meet organizational and regulatory requirements; monitors local, state, and federal regulations. Rounds on and serves as a liaison between patient, clinical staff, physicians, and the community to maximize resources and resolve barriers to the plan of care.
Provides care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. May provide support, counseling, and expert guidance to patients and families to promote their ability to understand and meaningfully participate in the healthcare process and personal decision-making. Skills and Attributes:Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
Works under general supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization.
