Assist providers with examinations, procedures, treatments, and diagnostic testing and perform clinical procedures within CMA scope of practice and competency. Administer medications and vaccinations under provider direction and according to applicable policies, procedures, and scope of practice. Collect and process specimens and perform point-of-care testing in accordance with CLIA and organizational requirements, including required quality control and documentation.
Coordinate appointments, referrals, diagnostic testing, procedures, and patient outreach to support timely and efficient patient care. Document patient care, telephone calls, messages, results, procedures, and other clinical information accurately and timely in the electronic medical record. Assist with provider-directed patient communication, medication refills, result notifications, orders, and follow-up within scope of practice and under appropriate supervision.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment and assist with infection prevention, equipment maintenance, supply management, inventory, and required regulatory checks. Advocate for patients and families and communicate or escalate questions, concerns, and abnormal findings to the appropriate provider. Maintain required education, training, certifications, and clinical competencies and follow all GSH/GSPN policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Education – Required: graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Certification through an accrediting organization for Medical Assistants. Experience -- Graduate of Certified Clinical Medical Assistant program. Preferred 1 year experience in physician office/clinic setting. Skills –
