This includes equipment and supply management, interdepartmental communication and other clerical duties as assigned. - Provide Professional and exemplary customer service needs for the department, staff, patients and visitors.Receives incoming telephone calls; screens and appropriately routes calls to department staff, patients, and medical staff. Relays messages accurately and efficiently to clinical staff.Prepares and maintains patient’s paper medical record documents while in the patient care area. (consents, face sheets, labels, and EKG’s).Maintains department specific checklists and logs (including Quarterly Expired Supplies, Cleaning logs, Biomedical/Facilities Management Repairs, Information Services Request logs, and conducts department specific Environment of Care inspections) Report findings to appropriate staff and ancillary departments.Assist with inventory of departmental supplies (including forms, equipment and instruments). Ensures supplies have been ordered, received and stored in appropriate supply areas. Trace status of orders and resolves any issues.Assisting in clerical duties such as sorting and filing documents, photocopy documents and data entry.Assists with tracking department and clinical equipment.
