Are you an experienced Registered Nurse passionate about mentoring others, improving clinical outcomes, and ensuring the highest quality of care for long-term care residents? MaineGeneral Health is seeking an RN Clinical Specialist to join our exceptional team at Gray Birch, our state-of-the-art long-term care and rehabilitation facility.

Position: RN Clinical SpecialistLocation: Gray Birch, AugustaSchedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Days (M-F)Your Role: RN/LPN Clinical SpecialistAs the RN/LPN Clinical Specialist at Gray Birch, you’ll play a key leadership role in elevating nursing practice, supporting staff development, and driving quality initiatives. You’ll serve as a clinical expert, educator, and resource for nursing staff—helping ensure safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care for our residents.

Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Responds to staff requests for assistance with providing or managing direct patient care in complex or difficult matters. Collects and assesses data to identify potential or actual sources of risk to patients and employees.

Reports findings to facility leadership. Coordinates the development and evaluation of the facility's infection prevention and control strategies, policies, and planning. Serves as a consultant/liaison for staff in areas of clinical practice, compliance, staffing, and scheduling.

What You Bring:Current Maine RN license (or ability to obtain). Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or geriatrics. Previous experience in education, leadership, or quality improvement is strongly preferred.

shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
