As a Clinical Technician on the Cancer Center Infusion Team, you will support your fellow caregivers and medical staff by providing cancer patients who are receiving chemotherapy treatments with top-quality care. Under the supervision of an RN, you will utilize your technical and applicable skills to enhance the patient experience and create a welcoming, healing environment. Helping patients with seemingly simple tasks like self-care can make a meaningful difference in their lives, offering a unique opportunity to truly take pride in your work.

A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 4:30PM or 7:30AM – 4:00PM. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN.

Patient care may include vital signs, weight, assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley catheter. Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN. Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.

Complete an internal training program within two weeks of the start date.
