The BHMG Clinician Scheduling Specialist facilitates patient access by developing, coordinating, and maintaining medical provider schedules and templates for the Medical Group. This role collaborates with providers, managers, and supervisors to ensure policy adherence, manages provider time-off and payroll functions, and supports staffing ratio determinations based on patient demand.
Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two (2) years of medical office experience with provider scheduling responsibility. Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must maintain timely completion of all required education, trainings, and certifications as assigned and in accordance with Bozeman Health policies, department-specific requirements, applicable certification program and registry requirements, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Coordinate provider time-off and maintain schedules. Complete provider payroll accurately and timely. Adjust EMR templates to reflect scheduling changes.
Build and manage provider call rotations. Maintain and troubleshoot electronic scheduling systems. Train providers on scheduling software.
Participate in projects, reporting, quality improvement, and ensure HIPAA compliance. Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Schedule
This role requires regular and sustained attendance. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
