- Accountable to the licensed nurses, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager and/or Orthopedic Service Line Director.
- Demonstrates and promotes compliance to infection control, legal, and safety standards.
- Displays professional commitment and supports the unit team by promoting unity and teamwork among coworkers by maintaining a positive attitude and positive working relationships.
- Organizes and prioritizes care considering patient needs and preferences, module activities, and other commitments.
- Performs basic patient care activities in a timely manner according to hospital policy and procedures including taking vital signs, assisting with meals, enemas, catheter care, hygiene measures, positioning/moving patients, specimen collection, application of restraints and treatments/tasks.
- Provides care with sensitivity to the cultural needs of patients and with regard to their rights and privacy.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the current condition of the patient and recognizes situations needing nursing supervision.
- Answers call lights in a timely manner.
- Responsible for understanding and participating in the organization-wide Performance Improvement Program through orientation, education, departmental and interdepartmental quality control, performance improvement, and quality planning activities.

Education Minimum (Required) High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred (Not required) Previous Nursing Assistant experience or completion of a formal Nursing Assistant course. Work Experience Preferred (Not required) Prefer minimum of one-year recent experience in medical/surgical in an acute care hospital. Licenses and Certifications Minimum (Required) Certified Nurse Assistant certification Basic Life Support Pay Transparency The hourly rate range for this position is $23.00- $25.95.
