You’ll need
Certifications
✓o Active AHIMA CCA or CCS-P or CCS or AAPC CPC or CPC-A or AAPC COC or COC-A or AAPC CEMC or AAPC COSC or CGSC
o AHIMA RHIT or RHIA preferred
Education
o High school graduate or equivalent. preferred
o Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology from an accredited program. preferred
Qualifications
o Hospital Billing experience preferred
o One Year coding experience or one year as a HIM coder/biller. preferred
o Two years of previous hospital or medical office experience. preferred
