Act as the central communication hub for the Security Operations CenterDispatch Protective Services in response to calls and incidentsMonitor radio traffic and track real-time status updatesRespond to and document routine and emergency calls from team members, visitors, patients, and Public Safety personnelUnderstand and apply Public Safety protocols, policies, and applicationsMaintain thorough knowledge of all Novant Health facilities and Department of Public Safety (DPS) program What We're Looking ForEducation: High School Diploma or GED, required.
Some College Courses PreferredExperience: Satisfactory experience as a Communications Technician, Emergency Telecommunications Specialist, Dispatcher, - Preferred Related experience will be considered. Licensure/Certification: Crisis Prevention Institute Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Crisis Communications, or CIT within 1 year of hire; APCO Public Safety Tele-communicator I and RQI Responder certified within 6 months of hire, required.
