This role works directly with radiologists and staff to prepare patients and operate CT equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic scans. ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients for CT procedures and explain the process clearlySafely and effectively operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic imagesAdapt procedures to meet the age-specific needs of patientsMaintain accurate patient records and documentationCollaborate with radiologists and team members to ensure exceptional careSupport a safe, patient-centered environment in line with “First Do No Harm” principlesEducationRequired: High School Diploma or GED, Graduate of an accredited school of RadiologyPreferred: Associate DegreeInpatient requirement: Graduate of a JCERT-accredited school of Radiology and/or military health system programCertification Path:If not CT-registered, must complete ARRT post-primary certification in CT within 12 months of hire (18 months for incumbents in CT Tech roles)ExperiencePreferred: One year of experience in CT scanningLicensure/CertificationRequired: ARRT, CT Registry (if outpatient – IDTF or HOPD)Preferred: CT Registry (if inpatient)Additional SkillsStrong analytical ability and basic computer skillsEffective communication and teamwork skillsAbility to adapt procedures to meet patient-specific needsCommitment to diversity, inclusion, and delivering the most remarkable patient experienceAt Novant Health, we value diversity and inclusion as essential to our mission.
