Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Qualifications
✓Valid California Drivers License. No driving infractions 5 years prior to hire or during time in this job.
✓Two years of technical training or previous construction experience of any trade plumbing, electrical, mechanical/HVAC, framing drywall, painting, concrete, cabinetry, or flooring.
✓Knowledgeable in electrical, air conditioning, welding, plumbing, or painting.
✓Understands that each individual will be assigned primary responsibility in their specialty construction trade.
✓Makes necessary repairs through adjustments, cleaning, or replacement of parts.
✓Assembles and installs new mechanical equipment as required by capital construction projects.
✓Inspects and tests designated mechanical equipment as required by capital construction projects.
✓Picks up and delivers designated items as required.
✓Keeps accurate records of assigned tasks regarding time, equipment, tools, and supplies used.
✓Maintains and keeps in good repair all tools and equipment.
✓PAINTING: Applies paint, varnish and lacquer or other material to surfaces for buildings, furniture, equipment and other structures.
✓Applies wallpaper, drywall, wall texturing, ceiling texturing or other wall coverings.
✓Operates any equipment required to complete job.
✓Erects various types of scaffolding to reach surfaces.
✓Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
