POSITION OVERVIEW Job Title: Part-Time Cook Location: Quincy, FL 32351 – Gadsden County Employment Status: Part-Time Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour Classification: Non-Exempt Reports To: Kitchen Supervisor KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and cook nutritious meals, including therapeutic and special dietary meals.
Serve meals to clients while ensuring proper portions and dietary requirements. Follow established menus, recipes, and food preparation guidelines. Accurately label meal trays according to individual dietary needs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment. Monitor and document food and equipment temperatures.
Assist with purchasing, receiving, and inventory management. Support menu planning and daily food production. Complete assigned cleaning duties and sanitation records.
Secure kitchen storage areas and equipment as required. Deliver meals to designated facilities and programs as assigned. Assist with additional kitchen duties to support daily operations.
Qualifications Education & Experience Previous food service or cooking experience preferred. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Experience preparing meals for large groups is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. Understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures. Ability to prepare meals in large quantities.
Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Dependability, flexibility, and attention to detail. Licensure/Certification: None required.
