The Volunteer/Bereavement Coordinator is responsible for the orientation, training, and recruitment of all hospice volunteers and for the administration& development of the hospice volunteer program. The Volunteer Coordinator must meet the required 5 percen t of the total patient care compliance requirement. The Volunteer/Bereavement Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the hospice bereavement program.

Performs additional administrative duties and serves as a resource for Hospice Supervisor.

Baccalaureate Degree or equivalent.

Experience in related field, and / or volunteer activity.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to execute a supportive and sensitive approach to volunteer and patient/family needs. Must have proven ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization, have strong interpersonal skills, be able to handle and maintain confidentiality and have strong attention to detail.
