The Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO) is part of BJC HealthCare's Managed Care department. The CVO provides effective systems interface with all BJC Medical Staff Offices and establishes collaborative working relationships to ensure JCAHO, NCQA, and URAC compliance issues as they relate to physician credentialing.
In addition, this team manages and provides oversight for cross credentialing efforts among BJC member organizations.
Role Purpose Performs activities related to the entities and other affiliated instruction's credential verification process for initial and reappointment applications for medical staff and allied health professionals.. Responsibilities Verifies that credentials of medical staff, mid-level, and allied health professionals are in compliance with regulatory bodies, federal, and state agencies. Maintains accurate data in credential database and permanent credential files.
Collaborates with medical staff and leadership to ensure credentialing and processing standards are being met.
