UnityPoint Health – Sioux City delivers a broad range of advanced healthcare services to residents across Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. Through our two hospitals, UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s and UnityPoint Health – St.

Responsibilities Provide overnight PRN coverage in a collaborative ICU setting Work 12-hour night shifts: 7p-7a Flexible PRN schedule with an ideal commitment of 7 shifts per month Primarily practice at the Downtown Campus, but also provide coverage at North Campus as needed Manage an average patient census of 7-8 patients per 12 hour shift Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills Qualifications Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Board Certified 2-year minimum experience as a critical care provider ATLS and ACLS required Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice Eligible to work in the United States We Offer Competitive compensation Malpractice insurance Dedicated provider resources to positively impact providers work-life balance A commitment to ensuring you have a voice that is heard regardless of role, race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation Support and development opportunities that are a crucial part of delivering a remarkable employment experience A culture guided by uncompromising values and unwavering belief in doing what’s right for the people we serve Community Details Sioux City has grown to be one of Iowa’s largest cities – and its meteoric rise isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
