You’ll need
Education
✓The Infusion Scheduler must possess a High School diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
✓Comprehensive knowledge of insurance and authorization requirements by payer and procedure (Preferred but will train)
✓The Infusion Scheduler has comprehensive knowledge of department schedules, resources, preps and guidelines
✓The Infusion Scheduler must possess excellent customer service skills and ability to interact in a helpful, courteous and compassionate manner
✓Excellent typing, spelling and verbal skills (Required)
✓The Infusion Scheduler must have the ability to multi-task using multiple systems while handling phone calls, patient interaction and frequent interruption.
Comprehensive knowledge of medical procedures and terminology (Preferred but will train)

The Infusion Scheduler schedules appointments for Infusion and Imaging via faxes, phone calls or electronic orders into the Cerner Win32 scheduling system

Coordinate multiple tests inCoordinate multiple tests in back-to-back time slots to assure the highest possible customer satisfaction and patient flow
Work with departments andWork with departments and offices for urgent or stat ordered appointments
On occasion perform medicalOn occasion perform medical screen questions for MRI and CT appointments
Provide patient/office with prepsProvide patient/office with preps, guidelines and directions associated with the appointment to assure patient is prepared and educated
