✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) needs to be obtained within 120 days.
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), and
✓CT Registered with the ARRT needs to be obtained within 18 months.
✓Anticipated completion, as verified by program director, from a Radiography program that is accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the ARRT.
Education
✓Currently enrolled in an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.
✓IL hires must be students from an accredited radiology program and in 2nd year of clinical training.
✓Successful completion and documentation of clinical competencies and associated academic course work in the following areas: Chest, Abdomen, Spine, Cranial and Facial, Upper Extremity, Lower Extremity, Thorax, IVP, and GI procedures to include Upper GI, Small Bowel, Lower GI, and Gall Bladder.
✓Successful completion and documentation of academic course work in the following areas of study: Patient Care and Basic Radiation Safety and Protection.
