A Brief Overview The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role involves operating CT equipment, ensuring patient safety, and providing exceptional patient care. The CT Technologist collaborates with radiologists, referring physicians, and other healthcare team members to deliver accurate imaging results in a timely manner.
They must maintain compliance with organizational policies, as well as state and federal regulations, and uphold standards of practice in radiation safety and patient confidentiality. Demonstrates successful technical/patient skills by efficiently implementing CT scanning protocols and procedures in Diagnostic CT according to expected service excellence standards. Adheres to ALARA, Image Gently, Image Wisely standards and hospital CT safety standards. Consistently follow hospital and department guidelines for patient identification and safety. Demonstrates competency in patient and technical imaging skills by producing a variety of radiological procedures while maintaining the highest standard of care independently and collaboratively.

Education Associate's Degree Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology program (Required) or Other Accredited Program: Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology program (Required) Work Experience 1+ years as CT technologist (Preferred) or 1+ years as a registered technologist (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Uses a variety of equipment specific to the area, including CT scanners, power injectors, and various computers.
