Education
✓A Bachelor’s Degree and must have graduated from an approved cytotechnology program as outlined in CLIA >88 (Fed. Register Friday, Feb. 28, 1992 Vol. 57 No. 40).
✓Work requires knowledge of biology, anatomy, and physiology, and detailed knowledge of cytology and cytological preparation techniques normally acquired through completion of an accredited one-year cytotechnology program.
Course work in molecular modalities is highly desirable. preferred
Qualifications
✓Must qualify as a cytotechnologist under CLIA 88.
Prefer 2 years of cytotechnology experience screening non-gynecological specimens including fine needle aspirations. preferred
