POSITION PURPOSE The Nutrition Services Driver performs a variety of nutrition services activities including transporting food and equipment to and from facilities via the facility vehicle and assisting in the nutrition services department. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Operates transportation vehicles in a safe manner and complies with all traffic laws.
Maintains appearance of vehicle and promptly reports vehicle maintenance needs to supervisor/designee.
Transports food and supplies to and from facilities.
Records and submits all required food safety documentation and escalates non-compliance to supervisor or manager immediately.
Restocks food and supply storage as assigned.
Assists nutrition services aides as needed.
Assists cooks as needed.
Completes assigned cleaning tasks for vehicle and nutrition work areas.
Communicates effectively regarding all aspects of

Performs daily and weekly vehicle inspections.
Maintains current license.

Food Handler Certificate required.

High School diploma or GED preferred.
Previous transportation experience preferred.
Previous food service experience preferred.

General office equipment such as computer/laptop, telephone, copy/fax machine, calculator, scanner, etc.
Transportation vehicle and associated minor repair equipment Physical

Visual acuity, speech recognition, speech clarity.
Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds including medical supplies and equipment and the transferring and repositioning of patients. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements. Skills and Abilities:
