DENTAL ASSISTANT FLEXSTAFF / 13WEEK CONTRACT Coordinates the daily activities of the dental associates. Maintains equipment, supplies, operatory area(s), and delivery of quality dental services
- Prepares operatory prior to examination/treatment by setting up instruments consistent with procedure to be performed
- Assists dentist at chair-side during examination and treatment of patients with suctioning, reflecting tissues, passing instruments, and the preparation and handling of dental materials and medicaments
- Performs dental laboratory procedures including, model pouring and trimming and fabricating mouth guards
- Develops and maintains dental x-rays during patient procedures
- Cleans, bags, and sterilizes instruments used and is responsible for tray set-ups
- Assists in ordering, stocking, and dispensing inventory items, and maintaining the inventory control system
- Maintains equipment, supplies, and overall clinical facility as outlined in departmental policies and procedures
- May participate in training of department's dental assisting students, as directed by management
