Job Summary Under close supervision, the Dental Assistant assists Dentists in the performance of dental procedures on patients.

Appropriately hands dental instruments to dentist during treatment of patients Arranges operating area with all necessary supplies and equipment * Knowledge of what is needed for procedures Maintains inventory list of supplies and instruments * Uses logs Completes X-rays ordered by dentist Maintains sanitary conditions of all operatory and clean and soiled areas * Keep clinic very clean Ensures appropriate sterility and quality control are maintained in autoclaving and preparing sterile solutions * Maintains logs, checks reports, changes solutions regularly Maintains equipment in clean working order and retains copies of preventive maintenance and quality control * Maintains equipment and informs when repairs needed Neat, clean, proper attire, professional uniform as per policy. * Present clean and neat work appearance Treat all co-workers with respect and work with them in a spirit of cooperation. * Cooperates in working with other employees Assist with orientation/procedures for new dental associates. * Support and nurture new /current coworker.

Retracts patients mouth and operates suction equipment to maintain mouth free of secretions.
