You’ll need
Licensure
✓Current RN and/or RD licensure permitting work in the state of Arizona, and/or LMSW and Basic life support (BLS) certification required.
Certifications
Certified Diabetes Educator (or ability to obtain CDE certification within a year of hire) preferred.
Education
✓Nursing degree, MSW, or a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
Qualifications
✓Two (2) years of diabetes care, education experience, or nursing experience.
✓Knowledge of diabetes mellitus and its treatment and management.
✓Knowledge of pediatric and adult education principles.
✓Skill in presenting educational material to a variety of age groups.
✓Skill in developing training materials and presentations using a variety of media to engage participants.
✓Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
✓Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
✓Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, patients and/or their representatives, and the general public.
✓Ability to calculate figures and compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to apply basic algebraic concepts.
✓Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
✓Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
