Licensure
✓Current license or registration in specific allied health profession (e.g. Registered Dietician, Registered Nurse required.
Certifications
✓Must obtain Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) within 1 year of employment.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in allied health profession and 2 years’ experience as CDCES preferred.

✓A Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Nursing
Qualifications
✓Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnosis, and basic disease processes.
✓Analytical ability required to gather data, decide on conformity based on predetermined criteria, identify problems and refer for resolution.

✓Awareness of licensing and accreditation standards.
✓Knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
✓Knowledge of relational EMR data documentation, ability to conduct research of issue at hand, as well as formulate recommendations based on findings
