Diabetes Educator- Registered Dietitian

Deliver comprehensive diabetes self-management education and medical nutrition therapy tailored to each patient's unique clinical needs, goals, and learning style. Educate and support patients and their families in understanding diabetes, nutrition, medications, glucose monitoring, technology, and healthy lifestyle practices. Collaborate with endocrinologists, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

What We're Looking ForEducation: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition or related science.; registered by the Commission of Dietetic Registration; licensed by the state of North Carolina to practice dietetics, required.

Two years experience as RD in diabetes or related field, preferred. Licensure/Certification:Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) , preferred. Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096If non CDCES, 15 diabetes credit hrs annually, required.

Registered Dietitian status by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, required. Licensed Dietitian in the State of NC, required. Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
