The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. The Diagnostic Imaging Scheduler obtains, enters and verifies complete and accurate patient information to ensure a positive hospital experience, efficiently schedules all Radiology exams obtaining information necessary to ensure exam appropriateness, verifies authorizations and insurance information, explains financial requirements to patients/responsible parties and instructs as to payment procedure when required, interacts with other hospital departments, carriers and physician offices for the purpose of acquiring accurate demographic and insurance information.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED. One year of current customer service experience in a medical setting required. Current medical terminology knowledge required.
