The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist works effectively to continually promote and sustain a high preforming, professional, and efficient department while ensuring continuous quality care, patient and staff satisfaction and safety, and optimal patient access. Scheduled to perform as a Radiologic Technologist at least 80% of their work time. Performance Expectation To ensure high quality diagnostic imaging Follow all hospital policies and procedures.
Achieve and maintain comprehensive competency skills for all equipment used. Perform all quality control measures to assure equipment is functioning properly. Keep current with the latest technology, trends, and best practice.
Consistently produce high quality images To support optimal Patient Care Clean and prep exam rooms after every patient procedure. Complete proper patient identification prior to every patient procedure. Adjust equipment for each examination, position and instruct patients, and determine proper voltage, current and desired exposure time for each radiograph using A.

A principles. Use immobilization and support devices to obtain precise patient positioning and lessen patient discomfort. Continually assess processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintains a smooth and orderly flow of patients through the Diagnostic Imaging Department. Equitable participation in the on-call rotation, as applicable.
