The Role As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures that support patient care, medical education, and clinical research across a diverse patient population.
You’ll work in close partnership with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to deliver accurate , timely imaging that drives high-quality care. In this role, you can expect to: Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations using established protocols to ensure image quality, patient safety, and diagnostic accuracy Prepare, position, and educate patients to support comfort, cooperation, and optimal imaging outcomes Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring adherence to radiation safety standards and departmental quality guidelines Apply clinical judgment to adapt positioning and technique based on patient condition and clinical indication Communicate effectively with radiologists and care teams to support timely interpretation and coordinated care Contribute to a collaborative department culture that values professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement The pace of the work is steady and purposeful, balancing technical precision with patient interaction.

Graduate of an accredited JRC program in Radiography required. Associate’s Degree in Radiography preferred.
Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R. T.) required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Valid Virginia Driver’s License (VADL) may be required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping and traveling, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive); Repetitive motion: (computer keyboard). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs.
May be exposed to chemicals, cold, dust, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The pay range for this role is $30.13 - $48.21 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
