This position performs vascular ultrasound on all inpatients and outpatients including other cardiovascular procedures. Responsibilities (60%)* Performs Vascular Sonographer core procedures. Performs vascular sonographer core ultrasound exams including: extracranial ultrasound, peripheral arterial duplex, segmental pressures, renal artery Doppler, mesenteric Doppler, Transcranial Doppler, peripheral venous, venous reflux studies, vein mapping, fistula evaluations, arterial bypass evaluations and assists vascular surgeon with procedures.
(30%)* Performs accurate pre and post-processing of files and reports. Accurately utilizes all computer systems associated with cardiovascular services and the Vascular Lab. (10%)* Responds to emergency or unsupervised situations effectively.

Interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner. Minimum two (2) years’ experience in vascular ultrasound preferred. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death.
