Duties Description Hutchings Psychiatric Center (HPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited hospital, is recruiting a Registered Dietitian (RD) to serve as a Dietitian 2 supporting nutritional care and food service operations. The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, day shift; may require occasional weekend and holiday coverage. As a Dietitian 2, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, therapeutic, and nutritionally adequate meal service for patients while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and facility standards including:
Conducting nutrition assessments for patients as ordered or required.
Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized nutrition care plans.
Providing therapeutic diet recommendations based on medical, psychiatric, and behavioral needs.
Providing nutrition counseling and education to patients and staff.
Documenting nutrition assessments, interventions, and progress notes in the medical record according to facility policy.
Assisting with oversight of daily food service operations to ensure safe and efficient meal production and delivery.
Assisting with infection prevention practices related to food handling and meal service.
Monitoring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP principles.
