About the role

Duties Description Rochester Psychiatric Center (RPC) an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission-accredited hospital, is currently recruiting Dietitians to serve as a Dietitian 2 and provide professional dietetic and nutrition services to individuals with mental illness. As a Dietitian 2, you will be part of a multidisciplinary treatment team and will assist in the food and nutrition program operations, including:
Developing, planning, and approving diets and menus.
Monitoring patient food and fluid intake at meals
Consulting with healthcare providers on individual diet therapy programs to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions.
Identifying and recommending activities to improve and maintain individuals' nutritional health.
Providing nutritional care instructions and information to individuals
Ensuring the integration of cultural, religious, and ethnic foods in the planning and delivery of balanced meals
Documenting dietary changes or reactions in individuals’ medical records.
Providing remote weekend on-call coverage once per month on a rotating schedule
Planning and conducting training for both staff and patients in sanitation, safety, nutrition therapy, meal service, shopping, etc.
