You’ll need
Education
✓Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Health Administration, or a related healthcare field.
Qualifications
✓1-2 years’ experience in related field.
✓Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience.
✓Minimum of 3 years of Clinical Documentation Improvement experience.
✓Experience working with hospital-based clinical documentation, coding, HIM, and revenue cycle functions.
✓Experience developing and implementing CDI programs, policies, and performance metrics.
✓Experience working with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding clinical documentation.
Previous CDI leadership or management experience strongly preferred.

The Director of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) provides strategic and operational leadership for the hospital's Clinical Documentation Improvement program. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate, complete, and compliant clinical documentation that appropriately reflects the patient's clinical condition, severity of illness, complexity of care, and services provided.
