Under the direction of the CNO, provides daily and strategic administrative oversight/service line leadership and operational control to patient care units under his/her area of responsibility. This position requires providing 24-hour Patient Care and nursing services including managerial/administrative supervision to nursing unit, which provides care/service across the continuum of care in a manner that, demonstrates an understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of the individual served.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Whittier Hospital Medical Center. Qualifications Minimum
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; AA or Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field. Minimum
5 years as RN; 1 year in supervisory role in Emergency Department or ICU. Required Certification/Registration: Current California RN License; BLS; ACLS; PALS, Certification in clinical area preferred.
