More about our team The Director, Medical Supplies Sourcing is responsible for managing Lifepoint's clinical supplies, med-surg and durable medical equipment-related spend categories, leading the end-to-end sourcing process for a given category and ultimately creating category and vendor standardization, master contracts, and cost savings. This role will actively engage with service line leaders and business owners to capture company standards and requirements, division and facility leadership to support implementation and compliance, and corporate leadership to report on progress and business needs.
How you’ll contribute A Director, Medical Supplies Sourcing who excels in this role: Independently develops and leads sourcing category workplans and timelines for assigned categories Drives and maintains ongoing progress with related cross-functional stakeholders to achieve sourcing initiative goals Reviews stakeholder requests to determine the appropriate sourcing activities required Partners with peer sourcing category owners, leadership, legal, procurement and related clinal business owners to influence and create new cross-functional processes needed to achieve optimal strategic sourcing outcomes Gathers and performs market research and spend analysis in partnership with Sourcing Analysts for the purpose of creating financial models and making fact-based sourcing decisions Leads the entire sourcing process including identifying categories to action, due diligence and analysis, stakeholder engagement, sourcing event preparation, execution, measurement, and award, contract execution, implementation and ongoing tracking Employs expertise in running competitive sourcing events such as RFPs, vendor negotiations, and benchmarking of results Manages multiple category workplans and initiatives simultaneously with appropriate timeline-driven approach and quality of work Interfaces with key executives and other stakeholders to gain commitment and support Maintains regular and reliable attendance and performs other duties as assigned

Bachelors Degree required, preferably in the areas of Supply Chain Operations or related years of experience
Minimum of 5-7 years related experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, procurement or related functions Highly proactive and persistent, with excellent communication and relationship building skills Healthcare value analysis and/or clinical sourcing experience (preferred) Experience in Oracle (preferred Travel: Moderate overnight travel up to 15% of time EEOC Statement “ Lifepoint Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
